About the Role

Client formerly built and sold one of the first large-scale utility energy storage development shops (they did greenfield and toll projects). Since their exit ~1.5 years ago, they are launching another development shop but this time focused on developing Commercial Scale EV Charging stations powered by solar and battery storage.

Responsibilities

• The role is for a Senior Manager of Permitting, who will work with the environmental, local/state/federal permitting, interconnection, real estate, and design and ideally focused on California to start with.
• Work with the executive team to identify target sites on select routes that optimize project economics while minimizing development risk.

Requirements

• 7+ years of renewable energy experience, environmental permitting, and development in solar and energy storage.
• The position will be the second hire (5th person in the company).
• The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in environmental permitting especially Solar and Storage projects and experience with CEQA.
