Title: Head of M&A, Renewables
Manila, Philippines
About the Client:

Responsibilities:
- M&A Strategy - Develop and refine the M&A strategy for the portfolio company, aligning it with long-term goals and financial targets.
- Deal sourcing - Identify and source potential M&A opportunities in the renewables, including target companies, assets, and investment opportunities.
- Lead due diligence efforts, conducting financial, legal, and operational assessments of potential acquisitions, and managing cross-functional teams to evaluate and mitigate risks.
- Perform detailed financial modeling and analysis to assess the financial viability and valuation of target companies or assets.
- Negotiate terms, conditions, and agreements with sellers, and work closely with legal and finance teams to structure and finalize M&A transactions.
- Oversee the integration of acquired assets or companies into the existing business, ensuring a seamless transition and maximizing operational synergies.
- Build and maintain relationships with potential sellers, investment banks, legal advisors, and other stakeholders to enhance deal flow and collaboration.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and emerging technologies to identify new opportunities and threats
- Ensure that all M&A activities comply with regulatory requirements and environmental standards in the renewables and electrification sectors
- Provide regular updates to senior management and the board of directors on the progress of M&A initiatives and potential deals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 10 years experience in M&A within renewables and infrastructure.
- Strong financial analysis and modeling skills.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of industry trends, competitors, and regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
