About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Development Manager specializing in Wind Energy projects to join a leading renewable energy organization in the Philippines. The successful candidate will oversee the technical aspects of wind project development, ensuring timely and efficient execution while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. This position requires a strong background in wind energy and proven experience in project management and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical development of wind energy projects, including site selection, feasibility studies, and wind resource assessment.
• Oversee the design, engineering, and technical specifications for wind projects, ensuring alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including finance, procurement, and operations, to support project development and execution.
• Manage third-party contractors, consultants, and vendors involved in project development, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget.
• Conduct technical due diligence for project acquisitions or joint ventures, providing comprehensive risk assessments and recommendations.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging wind energy technologies, market trends, and regulatory changes to inform project strategy and innovation.
• Represent the company in meetings with government agencies, regulators, and stakeholders to secure necessary permits and approvals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Renewable Energy) or a related field. A Master's degree is an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in renewable energy project development, with a strong focus on wind energy technologies.
• Demonstrated expertise in technical feasibility studies, wind resource assessments, and engineering design for wind projects.
• Proficiency in software and tools for wind resource modeling and project simulation (e.g., WindPro, WAsP).
• Strong project management skills, with experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and contractors.
• Familiarity with the regulatory landscape for renewable energy in the Philippines is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
