About the Role

We are seeking a Development Manager specializing in Wind Energy to join a leading renewable energy organization in the Philippines. The successful candidate will drive all aspects of project development, ensuring wind energy projects progress seamlessly from concept to construction. This role emphasizes leadership in site development, permitting, stakeholder engagement, and project optimization to deliver successful, high-impact renewable energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end development process for wind energy projects, from site identification to securing permits and approvals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical, financial, and regulatory departments, to ensure project milestones are met.
• Identify and assess potential project sites, conducting feasibility studies and coordinating resource assessments.
• Engage with government agencies, local communities, and other stakeholders to secure land rights, permits, and regulatory approvals.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and development risks, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory frameworks.
• Work closely with engineering teams to incorporate design and technical considerations into the project development process.
• Stay updated on industry trends, policies, and market conditions to identify opportunities and mitigate risks for wind energy projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in renewable energy project development, with a focus on wind energy.
• Strong understanding of the project development lifecycle, including permitting, stakeholder engagement, and regulatory processes.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams effectively, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven track record of engaging with diverse stakeholders, including government agencies, landowners, and local communities.
• Familiarity with renewable energy regulations and market conditions in the Philippines is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software is an advantage.
