Job Overview:
Nextwave Partners is working with a leading international player in the energy industry that is looking for an Assistant Vice President to join their Energy Trading and Financial Services team in the Philippines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of WESM-related trading and retail activities, optimizing energy trading portfolios, and setting strategic pricing for retail, wholesale, and renewable energy products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM) trading and retail activities, including forecasting, market modeling, position monitoring, balancing, reconciliation, and settlement.
• Construct and optimize energy trading portfolios, developing strategies for retail, wholesale, and REC pricing.
• Lead fuel management activities, ensuring effective project valuation, accurate forecasting, and structured tariff implementation.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to drive energy trading and financial services initiatives.
• Monitor market trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and strategic advantage.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience in energy trading, with a strong focus on WESM-related activities.
• Proven track record in portfolio optimization, pricing strategies, and fuel management.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in market modeling, forecasting, and tariff structuring.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
