About the role
We are partnering with a consulting firm to find a VMware Architect. In this role, you will provide technology consulting to both external customers and internal teams, focusing on designing and delivering solutions that meet customer business needs. As a trusted advisor, you will offer technical guidance, lead projects, and help clients overcome challenges, all while building strong relationships to ensure customer satisfaction. Your primary focus will be delivering value, driving successful outcomes, and continually enhancing your technical expertise.

Roles and responsibilities

• Lead the hands-on implementation of complex virtualization projects.
• Create and maintain solution documentation, including User Requirement Documents, Design/Technical Documents, Test Plans, Handover Checklists, Migration Strategies, etc.
• Contribute to the pre-sales phase by assessing technical solutions, converting High-Level Designs (HLD) to Low-Level Designs (LLD), and assisting in solution development.
• Provide technical leadership throughout the project, ensuring feasibility and successful delivery of end-to-end solutions.
• Identify and resolve complex issues or limitations, proposing alternative solutions as necessary.
• Support HPE's large customer base by contributing to the design and delivery of detailed technical solutions and systems management support.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships, working independently or with cross-functional teams to ensure client satisfaction.
• Collaborate with project managers to keep stakeholders informed about any technical issues with current solutions.
• Work well within teams, demonstrating excellent communication and presentation skills.

Requirements

• Serve as a subject matter expert in hybrid cloud solutions.
• Deep expertise in designing, architecting, and deploying VMware solutions, including VMware vSphere, vSAN, NSX-T/NSX-V, and VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), as well as automation tools like vRealize Suite.
• Experience with large-scale virtualization implementations and migrations.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities with VMware technologies.
• Familiarity with other cloud and virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V, OpenShift, Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Strong understanding of compute, storage, and networking platforms.
• Experience in leading customer engagements and developing requirement specifications.
• Research and implement technical best practices.
• Develop prototypes and test solutions before deployment.
