About the Role

NextWave are working with a leading offshore wind organisation seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Project Manager / Business Development Lead with a strong technical renewables background, ideally in offshore wind to join our Taiwan team.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading customer interactions, leading opportunities from identification through to successful close. You will contribute to a high performing team by delivering customer value, fostering collaboration, driving innovation, and identifying opportunities for team growth and improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead key opportunities for our renewables services in Taiwan
  • Build customer relationships and proactively engage with potential customers
  • Overall customer communication as the primary point of contact, expecting 30% of time will be involved in project management.
  • Leverage experience, expertise, and creative thought to manage discussion with customer for solar, wind, and storage projects.
  • Coordinate technical reviews among internal specialists including the civil and electrical engineering, energy assessment, technology, and environmental & permitting teams.
  • Discuss and resolve technical issues in partnership with transaction stakeholders, including coordination of input on such issues from internal technical specialists, as necessary.
  • Lead challenging and complex customer projects including writing, editing, and synthesizing inputs from technical disciplines into technical reports.
  • Support customers through the financial closings of projects through Q&A and deliverables updates.
  • Lead Owner's Engineering and project development opportunities in collaboration with the regional team.
  • Support Construction Management activities through monitoring/management of costs, progress, contract interface, and quality programs, and facilitation of construction problem resolution.
  • Prioritize QHSE considerations within the team to ensure safe execution and healthy work environment.
  • Able to perform business development includes: o Contribute to technical papers or presentations.
    • Business development including initiating and developing leads for proposals and projects.
    • Develop winning proposals for scopes of services related to our renewables service area, including creative tailoring and sequencing of work to meet budget and timeline requirements.
    • Contract negotiation with the customer.
    • Proactive on customer engagement and build relationship with the customer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, energy systems, environmental science, business, or closely related field from accredited four-year university (advanced degree in engineering or business preferred).
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills in English and Chinese.
  • Strong technical and organizational skills
  • Strong understanding of the Taiwan energy market
  • Strong demonstrated knowledge of solar/wind projects in the region
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experiences in the renewable industry and/or similar role is expected
