Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Associate - VP to join our team. The role will be responsible for supporting the investment team in all aspects of the investment process, including sourcing, analyzing, and executing investment opportunities, as well as monitoring and managing portfolio companies. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, financial modeling expertise, and a deep understanding of private equity, renewable energy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deal Sourcing and Evaluation:

    • Conduct market research to identify potential investment opportunities.
    • Perform initial screening and due diligence on prospective investments.
    • Build and maintain relationships with industry contacts, including investment bankers, brokers, and company management teams.
  • Financial Analysis and Modeling:

    • Develop detailed financial models to support investment decisions.
    • Perform valuation analysis using various methodologies, including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions.
    • Analyze financial statements and operational metrics to assess company performance.
  • Investment Execution:

    • Assist in the preparation of investment memos and presentations for the investment committee.
    • Support the negotiation and structuring of investment transactions.
    • Coordinate with legal, accounting, and other advisors to facilitate deal execution.
  • Portfolio Management:

    • Monitor and report on the performance of portfolio companies.
    • Work with portfolio company management teams to implement strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
    • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual reports to investors.
  • Market and Industry Research:

    • Stay current on market trends, industry developments, and competitive dynamics.
    • Provide insights and analysis on relevant market sectors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or CFA designation preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or a related field.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
