About the Role:
Are you passionate about safety and environmental stewardship, with a desire to make a difference in the renewable energy sector?
We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager to play a key role in ensuring the success and sustainability of our clients solar project portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive health, safety, and environmental management systems in compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards associated with construction activities, solar installations, and ongoing operations.
- Establish and enforce safety policies, procedures, and best practices to promote a culture of safety throughout the project.
- Provide HSE training and education to employees, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure understanding and compliance with safety protocols.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to assess HSE performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and hazards, and develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Professional certification in HSE (e.g., CSP, CIH, NEBOSH) preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HSE management, preferably in construction or renewable energy projects.
- Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local HSE regulations and standards.
