About the role

NextWave Partners is seeking a technically proficient individual to support our client's Offshore Wind team as a Technical Bid Manager. This role will play a crucial part in the development and execution of bids for offshore wind projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technical aspects related to offshore wind development and possess excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and submission of technical bids for offshore wind projects, ensuring compliance with bid guidelines and requirements.

  • Utilize technical knowledge and understanding of offshore wind technologies to contribute to bid strategy and proposal development.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project development activities, including site assessments, feasibility studies, and stakeholder engagement.

  • Demonstrate proficiency in Japanese language skills, with the ability to read bid guidelines and communicate effectively with local stakeholders.

  • Business-level English proficiency is required, with a willingness to further develop language skills if necessary.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to inform bid strategies and enhance competitiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.

  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in bid management, project development, or technical roles. Experience in the renewable energy industry is preferred but not required.

  • Strong technical aptitude and a keen interest in offshore wind technologies, particularly floating structures.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.

  • Self-motivated and proactive attitude, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
