About the Role

We are working with a leading global newable developer with a strong pipeline in the APAC region and are seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to leading multimillion tender processes and secure a supply chain.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring alignment of commercial and contractual strategies with the Business Plan and its timelines for individual contracts.
  • Managing a portfolio of contracts with a total value of up to 100 million euros per annum.
  • Overseeing an annual portfolio of approximately 50 contracts
  • Collaborating with business and procurement colleagues on international projects and sourcing initiatives, necessitating cultural sensitivity and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Achieving cost savings for the business unit


Requirements

  • Familiarity with procurement best practices, encompassing both tactical and strategic principles.
  • Demonstrated experience in commercial contract negotiation, including leading negotiations for contract closures.
  • Strong focus on self-performance management and delivery, adept at balancing competing demands of quality, cost, and time, making decisions within tight timelines.
  • Effective team player, preferably with experience in multi-functional project teams.
  • Sound comprehension of financial, commercial, and business principles, along with risk mitigation practices, and sufficient knowledge of contract law to identify exposure and seek legal advice when necessary.
  • Excellent written, numerical, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in influencing and interpersonal communication, capable of effectively persuading, challenging, and establishing credibility with internal and external peer groups.
  • Proficient in computer systems.
  • Desirable experience in partnering, international sourcing (particularly offshoring), and sourcing from low-cost economies, as relevant to the area of responsibility.
