About the role

NextWave Partners are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Onshore Electrical Package Manager on behalf of an International Offshore Wind Developr. You'll play a pivotal role in supporting their offshore development projects and supporting the bid process for future tenders. You will work closely with the engineering, construction, and project teams, with the responsiblity for all aspects of the electrical package.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, and control the budget for the electrical balance of plant setup in offshore wind projects.

  • Establish and manage the electrical balance of plant supply chain, including soliciting and evaluating requests for quotation to gather budgetary data.

  • Coordinate resources across various company departments for seamless project integration.

  • Serve as a conduit between business partners, internal engineers, and project teams, leveraging insights from past offshore projects.

  • Assess electrical system design, ensure grid code compliance, oversee manufacturing control, installation concepts, and commissioning.

  • Lead discussions with Japanese grid operators and negotiate grid connection agreements.

  • Implement cost reduction initiatives to optimize CAPEX and OPEX for bid preparation and FID.

  • Design, prepare tenders, evaluate contracts, and negotiate terms for the overall package.

  • Provide inputs for other project packages during the design phase and define working interfaces.

  • Identify and manage package risks, issues, and impacts on the project.

  • Interface with consent and land teams to secure construction and operational parameters for onshore electrical equipment.

Requirements

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field.

  • Experience with EPC projects in both development and construction phases.

  • Knowledge of HV and EHV transmission systems.

  • Experience working with the Japanese grid infrastructure and their grid code regulations.
